Dedication to Resident Success

Since first taking office, Councilman Henry Wade has remained a tireless champion for the people of Maricopa. His leadership on the City Council is defined by a profound understanding of our city's unique journey and a steadfast vision for its sustainable future. He believes that true representation starts with listening to the families and small business owners who are the heartbeat of our community. 

 

Councilmember Wade is serving his third term on Council and two terms as Vice Mayor. He is an Air Force Retired Veteran, who until his recent retirement, served 12 years as Director of Housing Counseling Services for Chicanos Por La Causa, a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Services Agency. With 30 years of real estate experience in the Valley of the Sun, Councilmember Wade brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the Council.

By prioritizing smart infrastructure investments and public safety, Councilman Wade has consistently worked to enhance the quality of life for every resident. His localized approach ensures that growth is not just rapid, but responsible, honoring the heritage of Maricopa while building a legacy of prosperity for the next generation. Councilman Wade’s dedication isn’t just political—it is a personal promise to help every resident succeed.

As part of his military career, Councilman Wade has lived in numerous communities throughout the world where he has been actively involved in community development and support. Locally, he was awarded the "Unsung Hero of the Year Award" from former Arizona State Senator Leah Landrum. He is the father of three sons and two grandsons; Henry enjoys working with children and traveling. Councilman Wade's personal motto is, "if you want to be taken seriously, you must  be serious"
